Where Was God During the Delta Airlines Upside-down Plane Crash?

A Delta Airlines plane crash in Toronto recently left passengers in a moment of sheer terror. What should have been a routine landing turned into chaos as the plane skidded off the runway and flipped upside down. The smell of jet fuel filled the air, passengers clung to their seats, and for many, it felt like the end.

Yet, despite the devastation, every single passenger survived.

Incidents like this often lead to deep questions—Where was God? Why do some people walk away from disasters while others don’t? Does survival come down to luck, or is there something more at work?

These aren’t easy questions, but they are important ones.

Faith in the Midst of Chaos

When we hear about or experience near-death situations, it forces us to pause. It makes us reflect on how fragile life really is. Some survivors of the Delta Airlines plane crash in Toronto have already called it a miracle. But what does that mean? Was God present in that moment? And if so, how do we understand His presence in both survival and loss?
